Tianjin Binhai International Airport (TBIA) is the 2nd largest airport in Northern China. The existing runway 16/ 34 has been extended to 3,600 metres and is certified as ILS CAT 1. A 2nd runway opened in May 2009.
The new 120,000 square meters. passenger terminal opened in May 2008 and can process up to 10 Mio passengers (1st Module)
TSN is served by around 40 domestic and international airlines including freighter operators and offers incentives to new passenger and freight carriers, who plan to start new operations to/from Tianjin.

The Peoples Republic of China has designated Tianjin Binhai New Area as the international shipping and logistics centre for Northern China. As a result, all new cargo airlines serving the North of China will now be based at TBNA.
With Tianjin Airport Industrial Park directly connected to the main rail lines and to the three Tianjin-Beijing highways, cargo movement is fast and efficient.
And with the new runway now in operation, Tianjin is able to accommodate new airlines and ensure a punctual operation.
